Christ to make a difference
published: Monday | October 13, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

The love and admiration of Jesus Christ is a prerequisite discipline for us as His followers and, perhaps, leaders of the gospel to impart to others. In today's world, modern man can observe and absorb His teachings, spread from over two thousand years ago.

The wars that engulf the Middle East with suicide bombers, the serial killers of the so-called developed first world - the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia and others - have awakened our consciousness to tell others that Christ, and what He really stands for, is to rid us of those. The break-down of morality, especially among the youths of our world, is of immediate concern.

Make the difference

We, as leaders and prime examples of His teachings, should take the necessary time to make the difference in our people's lives, so that our family units and model will remain intact; our love life with our spouses will be great; our scholastic careers will transcend many generations of different ethnic origins and cause us to unite. Our financial empires will be envied. And the perpetual existence of our being in a modern and democratic society will be developed.

Christ was not a man to be pitied nor was he warlike. He was a very simple mankind, the mediator between his Father and mankind. We await His glorious return to continue His ministry.

I am, etc.,

JOHN CAMPBELL
