The competition is run under the auspices of the National Association of Domino Bodies (NADB) for which Rey Smith is president. Next Sunday, at Jacisera Park, the NADB will hold its first conference starting at 10 a.m. All delegates and representatives of the various community champions islandwide are invited.

C&W, Digicel in big 50-over clash

Defending champions Cable & Wireless oppose arch rivals Digicel today in a crucial Reggae Jammin 50-over Business House cricket match at Chalmers Avenue, starting at 10 a.m.

When the teams last met in the Best Dressed Chicken 35-over competition on September 7 at Kensington Park, home team Digicel won by two wickets, handing the star-studded Cable & Wireless team its first and only defeat of the season.

Playing at home on this occasion, C&W with the likes of former Jamaica and West Indies Under-19 player Andre McCarthy, fellow Melbourne Super League players Yannick Elliott, Damion Jacobs and Dave Johnson, along with Fitzroy Peterkin, should start favourites.

Digicel should counter with former Jamaica Under-19 player Jowayne Robinson with both bat and ball, Kensington's Ian Dwyer, Domain Wilson, Garfield Moore, O'Brian Palmer and Xavier Scott.

The only other match scheduled for today pits Jamalco against Sagicor (35-over) at Jamalco starting at noon. The 35-over match between Windalco and Jamaica Broilers, which should have been played last Sunday at Port Esquivel, had to be postponed due to bad weather.
