A very happy affair
published: Sunday | October 12, 2008

Barbara Ellington, Lifestyle Editor

Newlyweds Kari-Ann and Carlous Williamson are a picture of happiness on their special day.

Heavy showers did not dampen the spirits of the 140 family members and friends who came out to celebrate the union of the Williamson and Lawrence families in Mandeville, Manchester, on Saturday, October 4.

The bride, Kari-Ann, is the daughter of retired traffic cop Sergeant Ian 'Babyface' Lawrence and his wife Monica, vice-principal of Bryce Primary School; and the groom, Carlous, is the son of Lambert and Clara Williamson.

The couple chose a burnt orange and sage theme for their outfits and wedding decor, and officiating minister at St Mark's Anglican Church was the Rt Rev Dr Harold Daniel. Organist Gawaine and Dimensions Band provided lively wedding music and master of ceremonies was the couple's friend, Jason Ricketts. He kept the formalities flowing at a lively pace and the band interspersed the toasts with both oldies and contemporary selections.

Guests in attendance

Sharing the memorable occasion were: Jaime Acosta, the groom's boss from the Cayman Islands and his wife Rosa; Elaine Maragh, and Sharon Sandford-Madike, aunts of the bride from the United States of America; Lambert Sandford and Hugh Sandford, uncles of the bride; Peta-Gaye Sandford, Ephel and Pearline Sandford, grandparents of the bride; Dwayne Lawrence, brother of the bride; Godfrey and Odette Dwyer; Nickeisha Williamson; Violet Williamson, the groom's grandmother; Gregory, Shane and Carsea Williamson, siblings of the groom; Marva and Lambert Clarke; Myrtle Powis; Sophia Clarke, Eric Reittie, Zelma Allen; former KSAC councillor Merlene Daley; Fitzroy Walter; Patrice Samuda; Kadri Ann Jackson; Patrick Samuda; Leighton Lawrence; Carlton Johnson; Wesley Baker, Carmen Cranson, Mr and Mrs Guy and Claire Lemonius, Lennie and Daphne Wray; Gwen and Ashton Williams; Novia Smith, Evet Brown and Yvonne Myrie.

Also in attendance were: George Johnson; Francios Palmer; Karissa Palmer; Claudette Robinson; Stacy and Winsome Ramsingh.

The couple honeymooned at Couples San Souci, St Ann.
