No HWT compromise
published: Friday | October 3, 2008

The Editor Sir:

After cleaning Half-Way Tree, there should be no compromise at all. It is that same 'bligh' that was given to the vendors that has brought this predicament.

I am ashamed to be a 'Kingstonian', as a result of all the filth and muck in HWT due to the illegal vending. Do not legalise it. Give them a special rate to use the shops in the transport centre, if you have to, Your Worship, but do not allow HWT to look like it was.

They will promise to be all good and tidy ( to get what they want), but lapse a few days later. I plead with you, if you want to help them, find somewhere else other than the park and its surroundings to put these vendors.

I say no to vending in HWT.

I am, etc.,

A. SAMUELS
