Proctor trial postponed
published: Tuesday | September 23, 2008

The trial of 91-year-old consultant botanist George Proctor, who is charged with conspiracy to murder his 66-year-old wife, has been put off until November 10.

Proctor is charged jointly with his 48-year-old driver, Glen-more Fillington, of Christiana, Manchester.

The trial should have started in the Home Circuit Court yesterday, but was put off because of a murder case, which started last week.

In 2006, Proctor allegedly gave Fillington $90,000 to hire someone to murder his wife.

A report was made to the police and both were arrested and charged.
