Fashionable farewell
published: Sunday | September 14, 2008

Ever notice how some of the outfits at a funeral can transport elegance and sophistication to another level? There is just something about the shades of navy, purple, mauve, lilac and grey, not to mention the fabulous combination of black and shades of white.

Janet Silvera caught some of them at last Thursday's funeral service for the late Ruel Madden. After all, it is fitting that friends and family look their best for someone who made sure all our loved ones looked their best when the curtain comes down on their lives.

That little black dress looks that much more sophisticated when trimmed with white. Serena Lue-Whittingham always makes a fashion statement and she did not disappoint at Leslie Ruel Madden's liturgy of thanksgiving.

Dolly Barber looks like she is stepping down the catwalk instead of the aisle of a church in this fabulous ensemble.
