My down time With Mark Linehan
published: Sunday | September 14, 2008

Latoya Grindley, Gleaner Reporter

Linehan

Starting today, we begin our newest social feature, My Down Time. We will ask popular Jamaicans and newsmakers three questions about how they spend their free time. And to kick-start the series, we caught up with newly installed CEO of Digicel Jamaica, Mark Linehan.

Mark Linehan officially took the charge as CEO of Digicel Jamaica at the start of this month leaving his former responsibility of running Digicel Guyana. Linehan, who is no stranger to the Digicel family, having been with the company for six years, looks forward to a truly rewarding experience in Jamaica.

What book have you read lately?

Papillion by Henri Charriere

What was the last CD you bought?

Rockin' Steady The Best of Desmond Decker.

What was the last interesting place you visited (locally or overseas)?

In January I visited one of nature's true wonders, the Kaieteur Falls in Guyana, one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world, a truly spectacular sight. I am looking forward to visiting Jamaica's natural wonders.
