So many parties, so little time!

Oh, my daahlings, so many parties, so little time! My dears, the Virgos are celebrating and how!

Today, the absolutely charming Jennifer Armond celebrates her Virgo birthday and the buzz is it will be a rather chic and intimate to-do!

Tomorrow, Saturday 13th, however, it will be all about advertising dynamo Robert MacMillan, as he marks a fabulous milestone and, naturally, it demands a special occasion and, so, the celebrations will be all that, but intimately so.

It will be outing to one of this island's more fabulous resort colonies, the absolutely enchanting Round Hill Hotel and Villas, on the outskirts of Montego Bay. The buzz is that it's set to be all that!

Birthday wishes

Belated wishes to the dynamic Jennifer 'Jenny-Jenny' Small - to her fans and friends, who celebrated last Sunday.

And, the lovely Gracia White will celebrate on September 16.

Also celebrating are stage personalities Ronald Goshop and Glen Campbell.

Champagne wishes and caviar treats all around.

And, it's definitely the midst of the hurricane season but that, my dears, did not get in the way of the ninth anniversary celebrations of one of this island's hottest and finest properties!

My daahlings, on Wednesday of this week, it was all Hedonism III's time to celebrate its ninth anniversary. The resort is located between Salem and Runaway Bay, St. Ann.

Dears, rain or shine, hurricane or tropical depression, Hedonism III is the party capital of the region, and, honeys, on this occasion, a commemorative celebration was not only in order, it was the only happening party outside of the nation's capital city. The buzz is, it was a fabfest and then some!

Then, my dears, the awesomely fab and talented singer JC Lodge and her hubby, Paul O'Meally, were in town, just before the passage of Tropical Storm Gustav, visiting from their London, home no less. She gave an absolutely smashing performance last Tuesday at the chic Red Bones Blues Café and Restaurant. It was so fine a performance, people are still raving about it.

Special performance

And, the buzz is the performance was made that much more special because it was the last place the songbird performed live here in Jamaica, before she and her family decided on moving to London, some years ago.

Well, on that occasion, JC's daughter, Tia, was all but a toddler, now she is a fab-looking teenager and, from the buzz, an equally gifted and talented performer, as not only was she the back-up singer for her mom, the lass showed her own style and class in a solo do that is still being talked about.

And speaking of fab people visiting Jamaica. On Monday, my dears, former Life of Jamaica vice-president and one time diplomat Anil Kalra and his fab wife, Nilofer Kalra, jetted into Kingston, to catch up with friends for a few days, flying out last evening for a stopover in Chicago before returning to their home in India.

Luvs, caught up with the charming couple at a rather fab and intimate dinner party, given in their honour by their long-time friend, security conglomateur Kenny Benjamin, at his Stony Hill estate, on Tuesday. That was a charmer and then some!

My dears, with Adrian and Darilyn Foreman; Al Niazi; the stunning Mrs Sheila Benjamin McNeill; Evan Williams; the charming Maree Sigurdsson; Capt Rupert Bent and wife, the fab beauty former Miss World Cindy Breakspeare; businessman Rajiv Bakshi; the oh, so stately Sonja Sutherland Dumetz; Robert Haughton; Vikram and Aditi Dhiman in attendance, and a fare that was distinctly a meeting of two worlds - as on offering was a traditional Jamaican fare and ethnic Indian cuisine - y'all know we are talking mm-good here!

Daahlings, it was like that - mm-good, as this was a gathering of friends of very long-standing, that has survived the rigours of time and Continental divides, so y'all know that indeed this would have been a nostalgia-filled evening!

Well, my dears, it was and fabulously so. We are talking an exchange of stories from Jamaica's historic qualification for World Cup football in 1998, which saw the Kalras, then domiciled in Geneva, playing hosts to contingent of friends from Jamaica, who attended the matches but decided on making a continental outing of the trip.

The wedding of their daughter, Mandira, to one of India's leading sons, and the Jamaican delegation that attended, plus many shared vacations and outings, all making for a night of anecdotal amity.

It was one fine night out, the host, Kenny Benjamin, under-lining his reputation for being the host with the most, and then some!

And, word is my dears, that the fabulous one-time model, Kenisha Gooden, is sporting one fine rock on that all-important ring finger, with word being she is all set to take that walk down the aisle, next year. More anon.

And, my dears, we welcome the new French ambassador to Jamaica, His Excellency Marc-Olivier Genry, who arrived in Kingston on Monday to commence his tour of duty.
