Growing unease

1 Disaffection is growing within the ranks of supporters; many are complaining that they have not seen any real change in their own circumstances.

Like Father, like son!

2 When the father and the son met accidentally at the entrance to the apartment of the young beauty the other day, the son said he thought it odd but never imagined that he and his father would be chasing the same skirt. When he found out that that indeed was the case, he took to some undercover surveillance. After dad left the apartment late one night, he dropped in on the unsuspecting young lady, and his friends now say he is a fighter, not a lover, as the lady is sporting bruises!

It's coming!

3 Some are saying the love affair did not last long at all. The word is that one is displeased and so, once again, the process of vilification is now on in full. Now, with all kinds of secrets to be blurted out, some are worried that the real damage is yet to come.

Cash woes

4 Neighbours are snickering with malicious glee as they spread the word about how the wrecker backed up in front of the gated complex, hitched the SUV and pulled it away. Word being no payments made in the last four months!

What of Fern Gully?

5 If the Fern Gully road is not yet fixed, from the rains some six or so months ago, what if future storms inflict more devastation?

Targeting older ones

6 His professional colleagues are somewhat embarrassed to acknowledge him, as it seems he has a growing reputation for targeting older well-to-do lovelorn women, first gaining their affection, then access to their beds, and then their bank accounts.

No campfire room

7 Some are complaining of being left out in the cold because they have not been paying homage to the new political potentate. Seems like before anyone is considered for placement and/or service, irrespective of qualifications and/or service to party, unless homage is paid, there is no room at the campfire.

Fly-by-night pain

8 With the collapse of all the fly-by-night investment schemes and the financial drubbing many have taken, there are fears that some will now be resorting to the tried and proven 'cash crops', in an effort to recoup losses!
