Pulse's Caribbean Model Search
published: Thursday | September 4, 2008

Ahead of Pulse's Caribbean Model Search finals to be held this Sunday at the Hilton Kingston hotel, The Gleaner presents snapshots of some of the finalists who will compete in the 'Search for the Caribbean's next Supermodel'.

Sonya Stewart

20 years old

5' 7'

Sonya has a natural knack for connecting with people and loves to socialise. She is a second-year history major at the University of the West Indies, Mona, who is also pursuing courses in criminology.

The articulate beauty has aspirations to make it big in the world of fashion and law. Sonya hopes to study law at the Norman Manley Law School.

Ashema Oswald

16 years old

6'

A student at the Titchfield High school, this Portland native registered for the 2008 CMS competition earlier this summer in order to be more like her Pulse model idol Carla Campbell. While not as busty as the Sports Illustrated swimsuit vixen, the teen still has high aspirations to excel in the industry. The pink-loving teen plays netball in her spare time and loves watching movies; her favourite flick is Akeela and The Bee.
