President of the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA), Mike Fennell, has described the outstanding performance of Jamaica's athletes here as "amazing and extraordinary".
Fennell said the island's athletes have once again demonstrated their superior talent on the track with three world records and six gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
"It is really a fantastic performance, I am really proud of them," the JOA boss added.
Fennell said his fellow presidents of National Olympic Committees, secretaries and other people are full of admiration for Jamaica and everybody now wants to know what our formula is.
Our secrets
Fennell
"Everybody wants to know about about our coaching methods, our systems, our structures, the High Performance Centre. Everyone wants to know what our secrets are," Fennell, who will return home tomorrow, said.
At the 2008 Beijing Games which ended yesterday, Jamaica's athletes won the highest ever medal tally since the country first entered the Olympics in 1948. The best before 2008 was 2000 in Sydney when the team took home seven medals - none of which was gold.
This marks the first time Jamaica won more than two gold medals at a single Games.
