Barbara Ellington, Lifestyle Editor

For American Ambassador Brenda LaGrange Johnson, the monthly noontime concert series has evolved out of a way for her staff to enjoy lunch while listening to some of the island's best musical talent. And for some time now, a select group of friends and business associates has experienced the feast with her.

Last Friday, the invited musicians were classical singer Ana Strachan and Paulette Bellamy accompanied by Alex.

The concert began promptly at noon and Bellamy led off with her instrumental medley This Land. Her pieces were interspersed with selections such as Amigos para Siempre, People, Tonight, Memories, Thankful and Because you Believe by Ana.

Guests hung on to every brilliant note and there were more than enough goosebumps to go around. In a word: splendid!
