Gordon Hutchinson positions like a pro as he takes his swing at the RJR charity golf tournament and family fun day.
If the saying, 'If you haven't got any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble' is anything to go by, organisers of the RJR Group charity golf tournament and family fun day will not have to worry about heart ailments for now.
Supporters from the corporate world and the general public turned up at the Caymanas Golf Club from as early as 7:00 Sunday morning. Other than the golf tournament, the wide array of dishes on the menu, proved quite mouth-watering for many. Patrons indulged in the various foods, served around the clock and drank to their heart's content.
Rising Stars
Perhaps in acknowledgement of the kind deed being done, showers graced the venue during the entertainment segment, but this did not stall the proceedings. Guests were entertained by last year's Rising Stars winner, Romain Virgo, and runner up Jodian Pantry, who hit some high notes and received a warm reception. Children were not left out of the mix, as a few participated in a dance session with the Vienna sausage mascot and learnt the latest dances.
Participants in the golf tournament were given tokens of appreciation. Proceeds from the event will benefit the St Andrew Care Centre, an outreach programme for boys at risk.
