Calder double for Henry
published: Wednesday | July 23, 2008

MIAMI, Florida (CMC):

In-form Jamaican racing men Kirk Ziadie and Wesley Henry registered double victories at the Calder racetrack on Monday afternoon.

Jockey Henry and leading trainer Ziadie collaborated for the fifth race win with Dukes Flying Tiger, and each had another win on the 12-race card to maintain outstanding recent form.

The pair had linked up on Sunday to win the US$55,000 Gene's Big Sky Stakes with the filly Gaston A.

Other wins

Ziadie, aiming to repeat as champion here, has now logged seven wins in the last three racedays and Henry has been on five winning mounts Saturday through Monday.

In the US$16,000 fifth race over 5-1/2 furlongs, Henry used Ziadie's four-year-old gelding Dukes Flying Tiger to win the sprint event by 3-3/4 lengths.
