Honouring our nurses
published: Sunday | July 20, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

What a wonderful gesture it is to put aside a special period to honour our nurses! This profession has given yeoman service to our nation. They have had to suffer many abuses from patients, but thank God there are other patients who value the work they are doing and go to great pains to tell them how much they care.

Forgive the 'bad eggs'

So, at this time, we must ask this special group to forgive the 'bad eggs' in our midst and to know that the majority of Jamaicans does honour them.

We hope that you will continue to give of your best despite all the odds and to know that we really do care and pray for you all, knowing the trauma, etc, that you all go through each day, and always with a cheerful smile.

May God continue to shine His light on you all and that you will all know that you are truly blessed.

Happy Nurses Week to you all!

I am, etc.,
