As part of its outreach programme, the Kencot Christian Fellowship Church in Kencot, St Andrew, will this year again offer medical assistance to hundreds of Jamaicans. The health- care clinic is scheduled to run from July 22 -25.

The church will be working in collaboration with the Lions Club of Kingston and the Spotsylvania Lions, along with the Spotswood Baptist Church. The groups will be inviting a number of medical personnel from the United States.

The list includes a gynaecologist, three dentists, a paediatrician, a general medical doctor, an ophthalmologist, a pharmacist, and four dental technicians. The gesture began four years ago, in an attempt to improve Jamaicans' lifestyles.

Transform

The Kencot Christian fellowship will be transformed into a treatment centre where persons from the immediate community and other communities in Jamaica can obtain free health care.

"As a pastor I'm committed to not only care for the spirit of men but for their total being," said Errol Bolt, of the Kencot Christian Fellowship.

"Therefore we have community outreaches of this kind that address the needs of the community we serve and the other communities. It's a love outreach."
