Murder accused held again
published: Monday | July 7, 2008

The arrest of multiple-murder suspect Tesha Miller sparked a fiery protest on Burke Road in the crime hotbed of Spanish Town Saturday evening as residents demanded his release.

Miller was held for violation of his bail conditions.

He was charged in 2005 by the police for four counts of murder and three counts of shooting, for which he received bail. However, he absconded to the United States.

Miller was deported to Jamaica last year by the US authorities and served nine months for absconding bail. He has since been before the courts and was granted bail with specific conditions for the original charges.

He was, however, arrested by the police at a popular stage show in December 2007 after he was found to be violating conditions of his bail. Miller was ordered to pay a fine and was granted bail with similar conditions attached.

The St Catherine North police have warned persons supporting Miller to desist from setting up roadblocks and damaging public and private properties.
