Bridgetown, The Nation:
Barbados needs to look seriously at establishing a small business presence at the Grantley Adams International Airport.
This is the view of back-bencher Stephen Lashley who, in supporting an amendment to the Civil Aviation Act 2004, said small entrepreneurs were left out when the airport was expanded - so much so that one hardly gets a sense of Barbadian culture and lifestyle when one enters or returns to this country.
Lashley said the airport development project should have seen small businesses being incorporated and made part of the potential economic pie of such an expanded airport.
