The launch of the10th Bigga Little Ochi Seafood Carnival will be held on Saturday, June 7, while the actual carnival takes place on July 13 in Alligator Pond, Manchester.

This Gleaner-sponsored event promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet. Don't miss it.

Below, world-famous owner of Little Ochi, Blackie, explains the recipe for his special coconut shrimp rundown to patrons at last year's Little Ochi Seafood Carnival.

Thailand comes to Kingston

The Royal Thai Embassy, Ottawa, the Royal Thai consulate-general in Jamaica, the Thai Trade Center and the Jamaica Pegasus hotel will stage a week-long Thai festival in Kingston from Monday, June 16, to Friday, June 20,

One of the highlights of the week is the availability of Thai cuisine, one of the world's top five favourite international foods, at the hotel all week. There will be lunch-time cooking demonstrations to introduce the use of indigenous edible plants, Jamaican plants and flowers. Lifestyle visited Thailand in 2005 and can guarantee that the food is 100 per cent delicious!
