A fufilling career in banking

Tanya HoShue - File

Vice-President and general manager for Scotia DB&G Merchant Bank, Tanya HoShue has spent her entire career in banking.

With over 20 years in the industry, she knows how the industry works. She began her banking career at the National Commercial Bank, then moved on to what was then Manufacturers Merchant Bank where she worked in corporate finance.

Recruited

While there, she was recruited by Peter Chin to become Issa Trust & Merchant Bank's corporate banking manager. Since 2003, she has been general manager of DB&G Merchant Bank.

HoShue has achieved a Bachelor of Science in economics and management and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Manchester. She applies her education and considerable experience to the development of the merchant bank's loan, deposit and syndicated deal-making business.
