The Garden of Eden in all its grandeur was never as breathtaking as Hope Gardens, along Old Hope Road, in St Andrew, was on May 27 for the celebration of Appliance Traders Limited's 40th anniversary.

Entrance to the venue was via the 'back gate' on Gibson Avenue; parking was by the newly renovated ampitheatre and from there guests were shuttled down past the maze to the venue.

A red carpet walkway led guests into an amazing garden setting with red and blue lights, sofas, and tented lounge areas amid the many bars and food choice settings prepared by the Sandals Group.

special guests

ATL's head, Gordon 'Butch' Stewart, and other executives of the company welcomed guests as they entered. Among the many movers and shakers who attended were Prime Minister Bruce Golding and Transport Minister Mike Henry. Master of Ceremonies Oliver Samuels presided over formalities, during which long-serving staff members were honoured and a citation read and presented to Stewart.

A spectacular display of fireworks brought the evening to an end, after which it was party time.
