"Attention all passengers! Due to the fact that we are experiencing some turbulence, we will have to land to avoid risk of damage to the engine of the plane. Please fasten your seatbelts and remain seated. Thank you!"

As soon as the pilot finished his announcement, I started to panic. I felt scared, thinking maybe there was a problem we weren't being told about.

I was returning home from holiday abroad when the plane was forced to land in a deserted field. As it landed and as soon as the doors opened and the steps lowered everyone exited immediately. I was the second one from the door, but unfortunately, I was the last one to get off. Everyone was scared, even though the flight attendant was telling them to remain calm.

I wandered away from the crowd, unseen. I wasn't going to spend the entire day with these boring old people. As I walked farther and farther away from the crowd, I noticed an obscene scare- crow in the middle of the field. I thought it was strange that a scare-crow was in the middle of an empty field instead of being in a cornfield to scare away intruding birds.

It gave me a funny feeling. It was like its eyes were watching me. As I went closer to it, I saw these razor-sharp toenails. Then it did the unthinkable, the thing moved when I touched it! I screamed and bolted across the field. When I turned around, the thing jump off the pole and flew right at me.

"Help! Help! Somebody help me!" I screamed as the thing flew closer and closer towards me. As I quickened my pace it looked as if it were within inches of me. Then suddenly I tripped over a rock and fell face-first on the ground. I was out cold.

"Kim! Kim, are you okay?" were the cries of my two best friends who stood over me.

Then there was a sudden silence as everyone looked up at the strange animal-like creature flying around in the sky. It swooped down as a hawk and lifted the flight attendant. At the sight of this, everyone shot across the field to get inside the plane, but this time I was at the front. We watched in horror as the creature tore the flight attendant limb from limb.

"Oh God we are gong to die!" I suddenly blurted out as the creature flew towards the plane. There was a huge explosion as it rammed its body against the plane, then there was silence again.

"Where is the pilot!?" I asked frantically, but no one could find him.

"We are going to die! Do you hear me? We are going to die every single one of us is going to get eaten by that hungry beast outside! Do you hear me!?" I shouted frantically.

"Kim! Shut up and sit down. We are going to survive. Everyone is going to live!" My best friend shouted on top of her voice.

"Did you see the size of that thing?!" I shot back. "You must be high if you think that creature is going to let us fly back to Canada without a pilot in one piece and live happily ever after!"

For a few minutes, there was an awkward silence in the plane. Then there was another explosion. This time it came from the roof of the plane. Everyone started screaming. Unable to move, we watched in sheer terror as the creature ripped its way into the plane.
