Broadcast branches out

Even after nearly 56 years in the business, there's always room for improvement.

And that is the reasoning of the principals of Broadcast and Allied Services Co-Operative Credit Union (BASCU). They put the philosophy into action on Thursday when they opened the credit union's new branch office in the architectural dream that is the Winchester Business Centre.

Not only will the new branch be centrally located (as literal to the smack in the middle of Half-Way Tree saying as you can get), but the management team showed it was moving with the times by launching the BASCU website.

Customers can now start the application process for membership or to secure loans online and then come into the office to complete the process. Future additions will include a newsletter for members to keep them abreast of the happenings.

It was nothing but kudos for BASCU as representatives from the Jamaica Co-Operative Credit Union League, partners and members of BASCU all gave their two cents worth.

They praised the BASCU staff members for their meticulous approach to detail, going beyond their normal duty to make sure clients were comfortable, and for offering the best financial services.

Guests out included Rohan Dawkins, Sheldon Townsend, Carmen Tipling, Norman Gordon, Rev Cynthia Crooks, Winston Ridgard and Andrea Wilson-Messam.
