Did LiLo steal fur coat?
published: Thursday | May 8, 2008

LOHAN

Bangshowbiz:

Lindsay Lohan has been accused of stealing a fur coat. The Mean Girls actress allegedly took the $11,000 blond mink from a university student after the pair partied at Stavros Niarchos' private New York bash on January 26.

Masha Markova claims the coat was a present from her grandmother and realised it was missing as she went to leave the party at the 1 Oak bar.

She then suspected Lindsay had taken it after seeing a photograph of her wearing it.

Flipped through magazine

Masha - who is demanding at least $10,000 from Lindsay - said: "I was actually talking on the phone to my grandmother about something else, and then I flipped through the magazine, saw the picture said, 'I need to call you back.' It was my coat. It was no doubt!"

After Masha's lawyer spoke directly to Lindsay, the coat was eventually delivered to Masha's apartment via 1 Oak although it was slightly torn and smelt of cigarette smoke.

Masha said: "They were very discreet, never mentioned a name or even the word 'coat.' They just said, 'We're going to bring you something.'"

Although she now has the coat back in her possession, Masha is determined to still make Lindsay pay for it.

She added: "I don't see how it could have been an accident."
