DUBAI, UAE (CMC):West Indies fast bowling legend Michael Holding is among several ex-players meeting in a two-day forum to discuss the impact of the Twenty20 phenomenon on world cricket. The forum started yesterday.
Holding, who took 249 wickets in 60 Tests, is currently a respected international television cricket analyst.
He is being joined by former Indian batting maestro Sunil Gavaskar, ex-Pakistan captain Majid Khan and former Australian captain Mark Taylor, along with other cricket officials.
They will also examine strategies to protect and promote Test cricket as well as formulate playing conditions for this year's ICC Champions Trophy in September in Pakistan, and next year's World Twenty20 tournament.
The team will also look at the results of International Cricket Council-commissioned research into issues like the volume of international cricket being played, and bad light.
