The Editor, Sir:
The Hope House of Tomorrow was founded in Colgate in 1991 by me, my mother, and stepfather. We spent years in your country loving the people and culture of the island. The home was later moved to Lime Hall in St Ann. When the home was closed, most of the children were placed with Jamaican families. My mother's heart never left Jamaica or forgot these children. The truth is, never has mine.
Mom passed away five years ago. Marcia and Ellen (two of the children from the home) and I want to unite with these children. We would like to have a memorial service for mom who was a mother not only to her natural children but to those of the home and the community of Colgate.
Young adults
The children would all be young adults now. The names I remember are Cynthia, Sharon, May, Jackie (Nola), Tony, Annette and Lea Ann.
I pray by the grace of God that we may unite with our family. If you took one of these children in your home, or know where we might contact them or if you are one of them yourself, please contact me. God bless and keep you until we meet again here or in the heavenly home of our Father.
I am, etc.,
