QATAR (CMC):Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer has called for increased aid for middle income countries in meeting "huge developmental challenges".
Addressing a Doha meeting on Development Projects and New Trends Spencer, who is the chairman of the United Nations' Group of 77 and China, said middle-income countries, such as his, lack financial resources to implement long-term development projects and programmes.
"This forces us to look beyond our shores. But as we do so, we are conscious of the fact the landscape for official development assistance (ODA) has changed dramatically," he added.<
