NOTE-WORTHY: Twin sisters
published: Tuesday | April 15, 2008

Twin sisters

I am looking for twin sisters just over age 50, that could possibly be my sisters. I am in the United Kingdom and have been told your paper is the most popular.

My father was born in St Ann, lived in Kingston and then went to New York, before returning to Kingston and coming to the United Kingdom where he met and married my mother. Apparently before he left for the United Kingdom he had twin girls. Approximately five to six years ago he went back to visit them. I would like to contact them, but I have no names or dates of birth, but I think after reading this they may well know who they are.

Query for Vaz

The question that should be asked of Mr Vaz is, "In a national security situation, would he help the United States or Jamaica or pass on important info to the US because he has a obligation to do so?"

Constitutional change

I agree with the ruling of the court in the Vaz and Dabdoub case. What I don't know is whether any perjury laws were broken.

I also believe that the constitution needs to be amended to give Jamaicans who were born in Jamaica an opportunity to represent their country in the House of Representatives provided they reside in Jamaica for at least two or more consecutive years prior to seeking appointment to that office or other restricted offices. It is full time we sit down and do the right thing which affects Jamaicans at home and abroad. We are all in it together not only when we excel. I also hope we can do something about the terrible crime situation that is doing such damage to our beautiful country.

AIDS 'cure' reaction

I write hoping that the Jamaican minister of health will employ Mr Vernon Palmer - Apostle Shada Mishe - and set him up at UhWI. He should be given all the staff and financial help needed. This will be greater for the Jamaican economy than all the industries put together. I can say that I knew that a cure would be found from plants by a black man, and I am delighted that it has been revealed to be a Jamaican by birth. I wish to congratulate, Mr Palmer that he was chosen as I give thanks to Jehovah God in Jesus' holy name.
