Joy unspeakable for the Osajivbes
published: Monday | April 14, 2008

ames Osajivbe shares a joke with his wife Caroline at the ceremony at Lower Great House Close in St Andrew on Sunday, March 23. - Rudolph Brown/Chief Photographer

If raindrops are tears of joy, someone in heaven is quite pleased with this union.

James Osajivbe and Caroline Senior tied the knot on March 23 and though Mother Nature dumped her contents across the Corporate Area, no showers were going to interrupt this day of days.

Osajivbe is of Nigerian heritage (a descendant of the Yoruba tribe), but his parents moved to England and that's where he was born. Senior is Jamaican and was born in Manchester, with family ties in neighbouring St Elizabeth. The two met in England around four and a half years ago and have one son. Osajivbe is a builder and Senior is a nail technician.

So, when it was time to tie the knot, the bride's family went about planning the beautiful occasion. The nuptials and reception were both held at a palatial residence on Lower Great House Close. The Rev Claude Barton officiated the ceremony.
