Heineken, the coolest beer for the hottest occasions, unleashed sub zero temperatures in New Kingston last Wednesday, with the launch of its newest campaign. The venue was a sea of green and white, temperatures bordered on freezing, with wind, fog and freezing-cold Heineken beer. Large screens littered the walls draped in white. As the proceedings began the temperature began to fall.
It was the company's way of introducing a new set of coolers for the premium alcoholic beverage to a temperature of minus-four degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature a beer can get to before freezing.
'Intense flavour, great ...'
MC Tricia Spence did well to get the crowd involved in the festivities. There were tastings and the verdict was "intense flavour, great, hits the spot, the temperature enhances the flavour".
Heineken will be hosting events across the island to spread the message of the campaign. Over seven parties and road shows will be held during the next two months. One lucky party guest will win a trip to Amsterdam, the home of Heineken, and the person only has to prove that he/she can give the best shout out for Heineken.
Guests at the launch included: Mark and Betty McKenzie, Kim Lee, Frederique Asberg, Keri Ann McKenzie, Bobby Chantrelle, Matthew Samuda, Kimani Robinson, Carlo Redwood, Peter Moodie Jr, Monique Powell, and many others.
