T&T-born soldier killed in Iraq

PORT-OF-SPAIN (CMC):

A Trinidad-born UnitedStates soldier was killed in Iraq late last month when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle, The Trinidad Guardian reported Saturday.

Sgt Dayne Darren Dhanoolal of Brooklyn, New York, was killed in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on March 31. The 26-year-old, originally from Acono Road,Belle View, St Joseph, migrated to the United States in 1997 when he was 15 years old.

He was due home from Iraq in some three weeks.
