Bull Bay cool Meadhaven

Bull Bay handed leaders Meadhaven United their second defeat of this season in their top-of-the-table clash in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA)/Victoria Mutual Building Society (VMBS) Super League competition, by edging them 1-0 at Michigan Oval on Saturday.

However, Meahaven United continue to lead the points standings on 39, followed by second-place Bull Bay with (31).

In other matches, the Jamaica Defence (JDF), on 28, played to a 1-1 draw with Santos (17), while Cavalier (18) went down 0-1 to Mountain View (10), Duhaney Park (18) beat Police National (16) and the game between Rockfort and Constant Spring was not played.

In the Major League competition, leaders Real Mona maintained their eight-point gap atop the standings with a 3-1 victory over Barbican. Real Mona lead the table with 40 points ahead of Liguanea (32), who recorded a comfortable 5-0 win over University of Technology.

Third-place Olympic Gardens (20) stopped Central Kingston (12) 2-0, bottom-place Brown's Town (10) upset Rae Town (19) 2-0 and Swallowfield (17) and Coorville Gardens (12) played to 1-1 draw.

In the lower Syd Bartlett league, leaders Port Royal (26) nipped Island Special Constabulary Force (14) 1-0, second-place Meadforest (18) thrashed Shortwood United (15) 3-0, Molynes United (18) beat Maxfield (15) 2-0 and Allman/ Woodford (17) blanked Pembroke Hall (12) by a similar 2-0 margin.
