Vegetable juice, fresh fruits and two-hour stints at the gym are all in your arsenal to create a healthier you. Why not take your efforts a step further and make sure the make-up you use is also good for you?

That's what mineral make-up, the newest craze in cosmetics, promises; healthier products made from natural ingredients.

Most cosmetic lines offer a mineral foundation which provide a more seamless coverage. Avon, Milani and Mary Kay are among that group.

Mineral loose powder from Mary Kay creates seamless coverage.

However, Maybelline New York has a new extensive mineral make-up line called Mineral Power. It boasts six products: the natural perfecting concealer, natural perfecting powder foundation, natural perfecting liquid foundation, naturally luminous blush, finishing veil pressed powder and finishing veil translucent loose powder, all available in different shades.

According to Lee-Anna McGregor, a Maybelline New York promoter, "It's an all-natural, lightweight product that provides impeccable, flawless and complete coverage." The micro-minerals prevent the make-up from caking, creasing or clogging the pores. The products are hypo-allergenic, talc-free, and free of artificial dyes.

Make-up artists Marlene Grey and Toni-Ann Blake used the Maybelline New York mineral line to create a unique look on their models, Jo-nae Bennett and Arnella Chin.
