Changing the political systems
published: Wednesday | March 5, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

For Jamaica to move forward and become the nation that it was created by God to be, there needs to be a major overhaul in our political, economic, legal, and family lives.

While the two major political parties will come each time the country is about to go into a general election and profess to be Christian or to be the deliverers of the poor, which one of them has ever embraced biblical principles to change the nation? None! Jamaica has never had a prime minister who strongly embraced biblical principles.

Fasting, repentance

Since 1980, God has been looking for a political leadership that will call the nation in fasting and repentance, to break the curses, and close the door on all the evil that was allowed into the nation.

It is time that Jamaica takes a good look beyond the two political parties and turn to God and pray that He will shake the foundations of the old political order so that reformation can take place. When this happens, God-fearing men will come forward in a new political order.

I am, etc.,

Apostle STEVE LYSTON
