You can find peace within
published: Wednesday | March 5, 2008

'The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.' - Thomas Edison

Do you know that you can use your mind and creative visualisation to accelerate healing? When you become aware of this mind-body connection, you will automatically follow the path to good health. It is true that you have to love yourself first before you can really love others. We complain of stress, but instead we should be re-moving the clutter from our minds, taking deep breaths and quietly allowing the essence of the spirit to align with the universe and your creator.

The spiritual laws

Let us look at the spiritual laws. How many of us have developed peace and harmony within the self to heal our negative emotions and really experience pure love? How many of us are able to forgive others so as to return to harmonious living within ourselves? We allow negative thoughts, attitudes and old ways of thinking to dominate our personalities and this brings on rage.

Did you know that when your body cells and the immune system begin to malfunction, this produces psychosomatic ailments in the weakest organ in your body? Degenerative diseases are due to emotional conditions. Our excuse is that these conditions are heredity. In most cases, it is also the thoughts of our mind that manifest accidents and depression.

Oneness in the mind and spirit prevents negative actions. Fear, worry, anxiety and loneliness contribute to ill health over a period of time. Pride, anger, lust and greed contribute to inharmonious attitudes of the self. Mental and emotional stress relate to the field of mind-body medicine as science has revealed that there is a direct link between mental and emotional distress and the body's ability to resist illness.

Gifts from nature

Man's greatest gift from the creator is the body, with intelligence as earth's masterpiece, innocence at birth, with brain which is the most efficient computer operated with the billions of cells. This has placed us at the pinnacle of perfection working to precision like a clock.

Good health depends on cleansing the mind and purifying the body. It is also very important to have regular deep breathing habits, to exercise by doing brisk walking, to eat essential nutrients from our fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains, and to drink water for constant elimination.
