World peace
On the premise that 'World Peace' is yet to be realised, it remains a fantasy of our thoughts being played out in our minds when March 4 is slated as 'World Peace Day' without meaningful efforts to achieve any semblance of a people-united universe.
Let me make it clear, that there is nothing one can wish into real life. Don't get me wrong now, I'm not saying that the thought does not count, but if we want 'World Peace', we, the human species of this world must overcome the temptation to commit any criminal act, and resist the corruption of our mental faculty, before people can stop destroying each other.
If all the celebrated days or solemn occasions in our calendar year were to be compared, I don't see which of them could be ranked above the celebration of 'world peace', if ever we were to earn it. However, if we do not apply ourselves, what difference will there be?

School violence
I am sick and tired of reading about the violence in schools, and the attack on teachers and students. It is the responsibility of the Government to provide a safe environment in which students can attend classes and teachers can teach without assaults and threats.
The Minister of Education should see that proper security is implemented at the schools, and do so now before more violence and murder happen. I agree with the teachers in St Ann for their demonstration that the appropriate authorities and the public can see the violence that exists in the schools.

Police pay
I'm not condoning corruption of any kind, but if these police officers were being paid properly most of them wouldn't have to be extorting money from the public! If you (media)took the time to investigate the salary these officers get for the type of work they do, you would be appalled. Just for the sake of it I think you should do an in-depth investigation and you would see what I'm trying to say.

Separation necessary
The article 'Separate the Boys' is a very necessary move if the Ministry of Education is seeking to enhance students' performance in the classroom. In any classroom setting where there is distraction to any of the learners, there is bound to be a serious problem. The boys cannot concentrate with all that female youthful sexuality around. Going back to single-sex schools can only help.
