Take Sir Mohandas Baba
published: Friday | February 15, 2008

Orville Clarke, Gleaner Writer

With ROMEZ scoring a 15-1 upset via the Stewards' Room in the Abe Issa Memorial Cup feature at Caymanas Park last Saturday, the Pick-9 managed to survive the day's racing. The carryover is $1 million.

Tomorrow's Pick-9 embraces races three to 11, the Super-6 from race six to 11.

We look at the Super-6 which gets underway with a 4-y-o and up maiden condition race to be contested by 10 starters. With little by way of good recent form present, indications are that victory will go to the debutante SALESMAN, a 4-y-o dark bay colt by Kamtarra out of Sign and Seal, to be ridden by champion jockey Omar Walker for trainer Owen Dawes.

Back-to-form veteran SIR MOHANDAS BABA gets the nod over recent winner MICHAEL POWER, ENCHANTING EYES and ALLEGRO in the eighth, while it should be down-in-class WHEELS OF LAW over the consistent UNQUESTIONABLE in the ninth, DR. SOCRATES to defy top weight in the 10th, the Kings Plate feature over 1500 metres, and in-form MISS ROSE over PRINCESS ZANAI and ROYAL BLAST in the nightpan.
