Haynes, Hinds help push B'dos
published: Sunday | January 13, 2008

BRIDGETOWN (CMC):

OPENER JASON Haynes struck his maiden first-class century and Ryan Hinds recorded his seventh as Barbados put aside the frustration of a rain-shortened day to take first innings lead over Guyana on the second day of their second round Carib Beer Cup match yesterday.

The pair added 212 in 64.1 overs for the third wicket as the home side moved from an overnight 58 for two to a commanding 256 for three at the close in reply to Guyana's 185 all out.

Haynes, who started the day on 22, made 111 in his 11th first-class match and only his second for Barbados while Hinds, now a veteran of 87 matches, was on 101 after resuming on 11.
