On breaking silence
published: Monday | January 7, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

Your newspaper in general continues to be so biased against this government, it is not funny. Note editorial of January 4, 'Break silence on Cash Plus'. Break which silence, why should the government do or say anything? Why didn't you say this to the previous government? You are just trying to create mischief for this Government and Mr. Shaw.

These people were warned. They raised hell, saying that it was their money and they wanted to be left alone to do whatever they want to do with it.

Nothing new

Mr. Golding himself warned that if anything went wrong, they should not expect any help from the government. The people were aware that this was a high-risk venture.

So what do you want Mr. Shaw and the government to do? Why didn't you say any such thing to former minister Davis and his government?

I know you are not going to publish this response to your editorial but that is OK. All that I am asking is that you be fair. Your editorial of January 4 certainly does not demonstrate that.

I am, etc.,

ROY WILSON
