Mr Warmington and Mr Golding
published: Wednesday | December 12, 2007

When Everald Warmington was asked about the calling for his resignation by CAFFE, his initial response to The Gleaner would be difficult to mention in polite society. He might well have sent the same message to Prime Minister Golding based on the time it took for him to apologise for his remark that people who did not vote for the ruling party in last week's local government election should not expect hurricane-relief cheques.

Mr. Warmington's ministerial colleague, Bobby Montague, having been spoken to by the PM, has apologised for a similarly stupid statement. Mr. Warmington has now apologised. His lack of apology had threatened to undermine Mr. Golding's authority.
