Do you think the results of the local government election will makea difference in communities?
Vassel Campbell - Office attendant
If the People's National Party (PNP) wins, it will make a difference in my community because it is a PNP community and we will get more money to fix the roads. From the change of government, the price of food has gone up and people don't know how they are going to manage.
If PNP wins, they will make a difference because, at least, they will have more say in things.
Newton Hemmings - Chef
Whichever party wins, the local government election, they will have to push for local government reform, which will strengthen local government and then that will make a difference in the communities.
Ransford Lawrence - Meat cutter
It does not matter if the PNP or the Jamaica Labour Party wins the election, because as long as there is a councillor for the area, we should see some results. The councillor ought to pay more attention to the people than the Members of Parliament who sometimes overlook us.
Norma - Meat vendor
I don't want the JLP to win the local government election, because since they won the general election the prices of food have gone up and crime is out of control. So if they win the local government election, it is not going to make a difference.
