PMG recently hosted a cocktail party at which John Waite (Montego Bay branch manager) was lauded for his sterling service to the company, on the eve of his retirement. Here, he is seen with his wife Sheila.

Happy memories and high spirits were in order at accounting firm KPMG's recent cocktail party, where they bade farewell to John Waite, outgoing director of the Montego Bay branch.

At the same time, the company recognised colleagues who will now build on Mr. Waite's work and continue to make KPMG a name which stands out in accounting.

After he left his native England, Mr. Waite worked with the illustrious firm for over 25 years, and it has benefited from his valuable work in its Kingston and Montego Bay branches.

And what accolades Mr. Waite received! KPMG partner Caryl Fenton described him as a dedicated, meticulous and organised professional with remarkable work ethic and qualities that positively influenced the staff.

All traits were confirmed by staff and clients, who either nodded in approval or echoed the sentiments by saying 'yes' in hushed tones.

As he departs KPMG, he leaves behind well-trained professionals who will carry on his work. Wilbert Spence, the interim head of the office, will provide technical support on the professional side, and Karen Burgess will focus on business development and client relations.

That said, staff and clients enjoyed the lovely entertainment and delved into the tasty food as they brought a meaningful night to a close.

In attendance were: Custos of St. James, Clarence Nelson, Senator Noel Sloley, KPMG partners Raphael Gordon, Patrick Chin, Caryl Fenton, Norman Rainford, Tourism Product Development Company chairman Robert Russell, entrepreneur Mark Kerr-Jarrett, MBJ Airports Limited president Fernando Bosque, Marksman's Robert Epstein, and many others.
