Hinchcliffe
A fourth letter threatening the life of chief executive officer of Manpower and Maintenance Services Ltd., Audrey Hinchcliffe, says that her decision to go public with the contents of the first three letters would not prevent her demise.
The letter, allegedly written by a 'concerned nurse', said the person who ordered Mrs. Hinchcliffe's death has sent from the United States US$9,285 (J$659,000) for the hitman to carry out the job.
According to the letter, since the publication of the news story in The Gleaner on November 9, the hitman has had to change his plans and is now demanding more money.
Previous letters sent to the Manpower and Maintenance Services boss accused her of being a political activist and receiving a hospital contract because of her political connection with the former government. The second letter contained a bullet wrapped in tape.
Mrs. Hinchcliffe has reported the matter to the police, who are now conducting a high-level investigation.
