The Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week (KRW) 2007 is looking like one of the best, and officials from J. Wray and Nephew and The Gleaner decided to enjoy it first-hand. The rum folk and the North Street chroniclers slid into Mac's Chop House, on Trinidad Terrace, for some fine dining with a few guests. From the appetisers to the entrées, it was all you'ld expect from one of KRW's finest. And the beverages for the evening? Well, Appleton products, of course!

We've also got diplomatic farewells and a big achievement for a local firm.

Sharing the fun are European Union's head of delegation Marco Mazzocchi-Alemanni (second left) and British High Commissioner Jeremy Cresswell. "I present this to you because it's your commitment, your dedication and, more importantly, your heart that made Geon what it is today," said Reynold Scott, head of Geon Contractors and Associates Ltd., at a cocktail function in honour of winning the International Construction award in Spain on October 29. The party took place on Norwood Avenue, New Kingston, last Friday. Keep reading 'The Gleaner' for the full story.
