When Leroy returned to Jamaica in 1997 their relationship blossomed. - Contributed
We have known each other for most of our lives, from I was about 10 years old and he was 17. We went to the same church. At the age of 13, I moved away for school. Five years later, when I left school, I saw him again and realised that I liked him. Really liked him. He admitted that he also had a crush on me. However, circumstances kept us apart and he left for New York. We lost contact for a while. In 1997, he returned and our relationship finally had a chance to blossom. I guess we were always meant to be.
Monica Elaine Grant and Leroy Grossett Garth got married on September 14, at the Portmore Missionary Church. The reception followed at the Portmore Wedding Centre. Officiating minister was Rev. Garnet Roper.
