Danielle Thompson is very happy. Commenting on her good fortune of being recently presented with a stylish new 2007 Daihatsu Terios in the Palace Amusement and Toyota Jamaica's exciting summer promotion, the lucky Montegonian said:

"I was so surprised. I really couldn't believe that I was the lucky winner of this brand new SUV, I had to keep on asking them if this is for real and that if I am really the winner. My heart was racing, I was screaming, my hands were trembling because I was so surprised and also excited.

"I have to say that people who were involved in planning the surprise did very well, because I had no clue whatsoever that I was going to be told that I was the lucky winner of a new SUV ... especially my boss Mr. Denton Campbell. Because I am his secretary, he had told me that I was attending a meeting at the Atrium Hotel where I would be taking notes. When we arrived the morning at the Atrium Hotel, I still didn't suspect anything, even when the phone rang and Ms. Karen Netia (manager of the Atrium Hotel) handed me the phone. It was then that Mrs. Coleen Brown-Jackson (CEO,Virgen Advertising Ltd.) told me that I was the winner of the brand new 2007 Daihatsu Terios SUV courtesy of Palace Amusement Company and Toyota Jamaica.

Big fan

That night, I celebrated with my close friends and family, who were really happy for me and thought that I deserved it because I am a big fan of Palace Multiplex and a movie lover.

In closing, I would like to thank Mrs. Melanie Graham, marketing manager of Palace Amusement Company; Mr. Howard Foster, marketing manger of Toyota Jamaica; Mr. Andrew Burke, manager of Palace Multiplex and Ms. Kerry Bigby, assistant manager of Palace Multiplex."

Howard Foster, marketing manager of Toyota Jamaica, said he was happy with the success of the competition, especially as sales on the SUVs had increased significantly.

A beaming Kerry Bigby, assistant manager at Palace Multiplex, located in the Fairview Shopping Centre, Montego Bay, said the competition was a definite hit with patrons and that a reprisal is eagerly anticipated.

Melanie Graham said the company was pleased to have partnered with Toyota Jamaica for this inaugural promotion.

From June to September 2007, all patrons over the age of 18 who purchased a movie ticket at any Palace Amusement Cinema were eligible to enter for a chance to win. Prizes were drawn on Friday, October 5, at Carib 5, in St. Andrew.

MOVIE PASS WINNERS

Winners of movie passes, including consolation prize winners are asked to present valid IDs at cinemas of entry in order to collect prizes which will be available for pick-up on Friday.
