Tips to keep you glowing

Fruits offer the best diet for mental clarity and tranquility. - Rudolph Brown/Chief Photographer

We want to look our best all over and this is particularly important here in the Tropics where the heat tends t our stress levels and makes our skin look and feel extra dry.

Finding the appropriate beauty treatment and regimen that help us to combat the climate suit and our skin type and complexion, can be bewildering at best. Happily, these days, we can access the right products and services to help us accomplish our beauty goals.

Conquering the beauty challenge isn't hard. We can all learn the secrets of how to achieve that soft, lustrous glow that makes our skin a joy to look at and a pleasure to touch.

Facials

A facial is not simply an indulgence. It benefits the skin and is good for overall well-being, as it also detoxifies and destresses. The skin is usually cleansed and nourished through a process that includes the application of a masque and exfoliation to restore its natural balance and clarity, as well as create a smooth texture.

Facials can help to prevent premature ageing, wrinkles and slackening of the skin. For those who have acne, an oxygenating masque can be used to regulate oil (sebum) production, reduce shine and restore balance to the skin.

Scrubs

An all-over body scrub is an excellent way to rejuvenate the skin. A salt scrub not only gently exfoliates but detoxifies, warms and moisturises the body, leaving the skin looking fresh and healthy.

Masques

Applying a masque to the body (like that applied to the face) has numerous benefits. It cleanses, softens and soothes the skin, promoting relaxation and leaving behind a comforting and luxurious feeling that is excellent for overall well-being.

Massages

Treat your father to a relaxing massage at Isabelle's on his special day.

The benefits of a good massage straddle cultures and generations. Administered by a trained professional, this gentle manipulation of the soft tissues of the skin aids circulation and elimination, releases tension and contributes to muscular, skeletal, digestive, respiratory, lymphatic, endocrine, emotional, physical and mental health.

Nourishment

Feeding the skin the proper foods is an important part of any beauty regimen. Providing the right nourishment helps with cellular repair and regeneration and fights the damaging effects of the sun and ageing. For anyone who wants to enjoy good health, skin care is not an option but a necessary part of a daily routine.
