Waterford and Jamaica College (JC) will lock horns with sole leadership of Group A squarely in sight when the teams meet in today's ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup top-of-the-table clash at Waterford.
The dark-blue boys from Old Hope Road seem to have hit their stride, easily dismissing what many thought to be a capable Tivoli team 7-0 in their last fixture.
Currently leading Waterford (13) on goal difference and with a game in hand, JC (13) seem to be in cruise control. However, while they have had an average season to date, Waterford are an experienced team and can prove to be dangerous on any given day.
Slim hopes
In the group's other games, Tivoli will hope to recover at least some pride and preserve their slim hopes of advancing when they host a winless St. Mary's College. St. Jago will tackle Innswood at the Spanish Town Prison Oval. Over in Group E, Charlie Smith will host an unpredictable Ascot team, who would relish the role of spoilers in a tight three-way race between Camper-down, Greater Portmore and Charlie.
Camperdown could have a much easier time when they travel to the Seprod Oval to face Denham Town, while Greater Portmore will host Pembroke Hall at the Greater Portmore Sports Complex.
