Boys' Town, Seba thrill in tied game
published: Monday | October 8, 2007

Ainsley Walters, Freelance Writer

Boys' Town and Seba United yesterday battled to a thrilling 1-1 draw in steady rain at Collie Smith Drive to both keep a piece of the Cash Plus Premier League lead after two rounds of matches.

Opening round winners, Boys' Town and Seba are now on four points along with promoted team St. George's Sports Club, which clipped Village United 2-1 at Lynch Park.

Boys' Town surged ahead after six minutes on their slippery home turf when the shortest player on the wet pitch, striker Shawn McKoy - standing at a little over five feet - rose high to glance the slightest of headers past goalie Neil Lynch off a cross from the right, beating the Seba 'keeper low at his near post.

However, Seba, who showed good battling qualities in their 4-3 opening match win over Water-house at Jarrett Park the previous week, came screaming back at Boys' Town with crisp build-ups, utilising attacking.
