published: Monday | October 8, 2007

POLICE ARRESTED three men, including a 16-year-old, after seizing three illegal guns in Bartley Town, Manchester, yesterday.

The Constabulary Communi-cation Network said the trio included another teenager, 17-year-old Derrick Bryan. The other man has been identified as 22-year-old Kevin Williams.

The teenagers are both from Bartley Town while Williams is from Mountain View in east Kingston.

They were held during a police operation in Bartley Town. The premises where they were staying was searched and two home-made guns and 13 rounds of ammunition found.

Another gun, a .380 pistol with 13 .22 cartridges, was found in a nearby abandoned building. No one was arrested in connection with that find.

Williams, Bryan and the 16-year-old were charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. They are scheduled to appear in the Manchester Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
